The Area is in the northeastern part of the state near Cleveland. The Happy Days Visitor Center in the south end of the Park is on OH 303, one mile west of OH 8, and two miles east of Peninsula. The Canal Visitor Center at the north end of the Park is at Canal Road and Hillside Road, south of Rockside Road in Valley View (a suburb of Cleveland).
WHEN TO VISIT
Open year round. Peak visitor month is July. Blossom Music Center, Porthouse Theater, and Golf Course open in Summer only. Hale Farm and Village open May through October. Cuyahoga Valley Line runs June through October. Ski areas open in Winter only. Climate: January, 18 to 38 degrees F; July, 78 to 84 degrees F.

This recreation area links the urban centers of Cleveland and Akron, preserving the rural character of the Cuyahoga River Valley.
Historic sites include: Ohio and Erie Canal, Western Reserve settlement and life, and Indian culture. Cultural attractions include: Blossom Music Center, Porthouse Theater, etc. The Park contains many foot trails. Food, supplies, and overnight accommodations are available in the many surrounding communities, Brecksville, Cleveland, and Akron.
